As apart of our grand crusade to connect with the community, our shop Merrily Couture sponsored it's very first Pageant girl! We have sold dresses to plenty of girls in pageants ( mostly the NY circuits ) but this was the first time as a sponcor. So let us introduce you to our girl, Noopoor Akruwala!She is a multi-year runner in the Maaza Miss India New York pageants who in years past won best in talent, and many runner up ribbons. Wearing our sequin dress she was CROWNED and sashed with the title, maaza Miss India New York 2012-13! ! How exciting ?!
In 2011 Noopoor was just short of the crown, taking home the title of the first runner-up.
At age 20 she came back to the circuit to claim FIRST PLACE. Second to no one we are so proud to have sponsored a dress she wore the year of her Victory!
With all this mention of her pageant dress we should show you a picture huh?

Just look at how the subtle hi-low style gives her some serious height and length in the legs. The sequin ombre is also a great way to have glitz while still getting the light weight flutter of the chiffon fabric at the base.
